Wonderful hotel! Located in a convenient part of the quarter where you are close to the action (both Bourbon & Frenchman)but far from the noise. Coffee shop is a block away for those who need specialty coffee (drip coffee offered in the morning at the hotel is great). Check in and out was easy and the staff were so kind. We will be back!
The service was great and the location was terrific! Very walkable with a nice coffee shop and Italian restaurant a block away, approximately a 10 minute walk to Frenchman St in one direction, same distance to the French Quarter or Bourbon St in the other direction. Lots of bars and restaurants all around. The rooms were very simple but clean and had comfortable beds/ pillows. We would stay again!
We had a great stay here!! The room is so nice and clean, and the bed and pillows are extremely comfortable! Staff is nice and we liked the digital door codes. The location is great, near a lot of things to do in the French Quarter and parade routes. Also, housekeeping cleans all the rooms daily and does a very good job! You don't see that at all places. The only improvement I could see about Le Richelieu is improving the quality of shampoo/body wash/conditioner they improve (it's very low quality and doesn't lather, definitely being your own stuff). Besides that, everything else was great and we would stay here again for sure!
This little boutique hotel was awesome to stay at. Rooms were super clean, comfy, and spacious. Rebecca at the front desk was one of the sweetest front desk ladies I've ever encountered. She was so helpful on suggesting places to go! The location was absolutly perfect. Restaurants not far, flea market around the corner, and an easy walk to Bourbon street. Absolutly would go back!
Amazing Location! You can walk to all the places that you need to check out if that's your first trip to New Orleans. Also, quiet like cave so you can sleep comfortably different from hotels near Bourbon street or downtown. Attentive crews! Clean rooms! Elevators! (many hotels near by don't have one) Very roomy walking closet! It's worthy to stay for the price! Highly recommend!
I came to New Orleans for a wedding on December 12, 2025 and checked out December 14th, 2025. The hotel is beautiful, quaint, understated, just the perfect hotel a block or two from Bourbon Street. My check-in was easy, they held my bags so I could go for a walk to check out Envie (a fantastic little breakfast nook around the corner) and The French Market (a beautiful outdoor market two blocks down that had great souvenirs and authentic food)… both places were recommended by the receptionist and I loved them. At night I had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca at the front desk (I needed a few waters and a blanket). She was so sweet and helpful on the phone, we had a nice talk about where I’m from and she seemed engaged and genuinely interested. She brought my items up quickly and she made sure I was comfortable for the night. I could’ve talked to her all night with her kind smile and her beautiful southern accent, she reminded me of my mom. When we parted she said “I’m just right downstairs if you need anything else”. The next night when I came in for the night, she was here to greet me again with that comforting smile and she helped me to secure late check-out for the next day. The hotel is old New Orleans on the outside and modern on the inside with many southern touches. I would love to come here again, especially at Mardi Gras time. A great property on a quiet street just outside of the bustle of the quarter. The property overall is really great and rooms are spacious and unique. The only issue I had is my floor in the room was not the cleanest and some of the furniture is starting to show wear, but overall still a great place to stay. Parking is much more reasonable and accessible than other properties. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
This was our 6th trip down to NOLA but our first time staying at Le Richelieu. Upon arrival, we were able to quickly get situated for parking and the check-in process was a breeze. Staff was incredibly friendly and also offered some additional local information during our stay. The room itself was very comfortable and having a balcony was great for morning coffee. The property is a great location for the local haunts we like to visit. Two blocks from the french market and our favorite coffee house is just around the corner. Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend for anyone staying in the Quarter.
